SocialTools is built so that the least possible amount of data ever leaves your device. This page explains exactly what is and is not collected.

Files you upload

The image and video tools — the resizer, WebP converter, compressor and MP4 to GIF converter — run entirely in your browser using the Canvas and File APIs. Your files are never transmitted to a server, never stored, and disappear from memory when you close the tab.

Text you type

Bios, usernames, captions and hashtags are generated locally from the words you enter. The text is not sent anywhere and is not saved between visits, apart from optional favourites stored in your own browser.

Analytics

We record anonymous usage events — which tool was opened, whether a result was copied or downloaded — to understand which tools are worth improving. These events contain no personal information, no file contents and no text you entered.

Cookies and local storage

Local storage is used to remember your language preference and any favourites you save. No tracking cookies are set by SocialTools itself.

Advertising

Advertising space is reserved on tool pages. If an advertising network is enabled in future, that network may set its own cookies; this policy will be updated before that happens, and the disclosure will name the provider.

Third parties

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of any standard web request. No other third-party service receives data from this site.

Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data or accounts, there is nothing to export or delete on our side. Clearing your browser storage removes everything this site has saved.
