Files are processed locally in your browser and are not permanently stored.

JPG, JPEG, PNG or WebP · multiple files · up to 20 MB each
Compression happens entirely in your browser with the Canvas API. Your images are never uploaded and nothing is stored.
How it works
- 1Drop in one or more images.
- 2Set the compression quality and a maximum width.
- 3Compress and review the size saved per file.
- 4Download files individually or all at once.
Features
- Batch compression, no file count limit.
- Quality from 30% to 95% and max width up to 4000 px.
- Per-file and total before/after sizes with percentage saved.
- Remove single files or clear the whole batch.
- Nothing leaves your device.
Examples
- Ten 4 MB phone photos at 70% and 2000 px → typically 300–500 KB each
- A 3 MB screenshot → around 200 KB
- Product photos for a store page → 70–80% smaller on average
How much compression is too much
Between 70% and 85% quality most photos are indistinguishable from the original at normal viewing sizes. Below 60% you start to see blocking in skies and skin tones. Reducing the maximum width usually saves more than dropping quality, because a 4000 px image displayed at 1000 px is wasting three quarters of its data.
Where compression matters most
- Website and landing page images — the biggest single win for load time.
- Email attachments limited to 25 MB.
- Marketplace and store listings with per-image size caps.
- Anything uploaded over mobile data.
Tips
- Resize first with the Social Media Image Resizer, then compress.
- Keep the originals — compression is not reversible.
- Try WebP output for the smallest files.
