The name field — not the handle — is indexed by Instagram's search. “Sara | Meal Prep” is findable in a way “sara.cooks” is not. Put the topic there and save bio characters for everything else.

Bio formulas

• Offer + instruction: “Free 5-day meal plan — link below”.
• Brand + place + shipping: “Hand-poured candles · Rabat · ships in 48h”.
• Category + cadence: “Film photography · new roll every Sunday”.

What to leave out

• Quotes that could sit on any account.
• Long emoji strings that break screen readers.
• Every platform you have ever joined.
• Vague words: creator, enthusiast, storyteller.

Line breaks

Instagram keeps line breaks entered in the app or pasted from a notes app. Three or four short lines are easier to scan than one long sentence — but check it on a phone before you settle.
